Documentum ECM upgrade

Challenges

This local UK council had an existing Benefit Claims case handling solution based on the Documentum ECM platform, which required a number of significant changes and enhancements to the workflow and case handling solution. It also needed to be upgraded to a current supported release, including redeployment of the platform on to a later version of the Operating System.

The primary objective of the project was to meet legislative requirements by implementing a set of required changes to the payments workflow while adding support for provisional assessments.

Solution

The SynApps solution architect undertook requirements analysis and documented the requirement in a design specification. The basic solution is designed to allow prospective claimants to submit a new claim using a web-based PDF form, which may or may not contain supporting documentation. Supporting documentation may also be delivered after the initial claim. The documentation is archived to the Documentum ECM platform and a number of workflows instantiated to manage the review, approval or rejection of the claim.

Project Success

SynApps Solutions delivered the solution on time and on budget during 2H 2017 and continues to provide application support.
